Oral Proficiency (OPI) Rating

If you are a nonnative speaker of the immersion language, you should make an appointment through the Center for Language Studies (cls@byu.edu) to take an OPI. If you are a native speaker of the language of specialization, you do not need to take an OPI in order to apply to the 3rd year teacher licensure track. However, you should take an OPI in the language of specialization before you do your student teaching.
